Story

Sister Raphael
In March 1920, Margaret became a nun and was then known as Sister Raphael.3
 
On Thursday, 25th March, Feast of the Annunciation, the impressive ceremony of reception took place at the Convent of Mercy, Angas-street, Adelaide, when Miss Margaret Guerin (now Sister Mary Raphael), of Salisbury, and who is a daughter of Mr and Mrs Guerin, old residents of Lillimur, and a niece of Mrs Johnston, of Lillimur, received the holy habits of the Order of Mercy from his Grace the Archbishop. There were also present Rev Prior O'Kelly, OP, Rev Fathers Delahunty, Morrison, Doyle, OP, Gatzmeyer, Fallon, O'Connell, and the parents and relatives of the new novice. Benediction of the Most Holy Sacrament was given by his Grace the Archbishop at the conclusion of the ceremony, and then the visitors were entertained at afternoon tea.4
