John Forrester was born in Brighton on 5 July 1941. He was the child of Euphemia and John.1
 
When Bub Williams had the Cricketers Arms hotel in Mooroopna during the war years, John remembers being perched up in the tree at the pub with Don and Brian watching the servicemen pass by.1
 
At the time I would have been only four or so and as a kid can remember a huge convoy of military vehicles passing through Mooroopna at the time and the Phillips boys being up the peppercorn overlooking the fence. [John Forrester]1
 
John was a self-employed window dresser. He did a lot of work for Lunn & Fordyce.1
